I'm very interested in alternative medicine.  Years ago, after having two children I developed many health issues.  I ended up going to a never ending stream of Western medical doctors.  Half the time they would have no diagnosis, and half the time I'd get a different diagnosis that I had from the doctor the week before.  Eventually I was diagnosed with a condition called Ehlers-Danlos disease, a supposedly incurable genetic condition.  But then alternative medicine cam to my rescue.  I found lot of help doing yoga, practicing trigger point therapy and expecially changing  my diet.  I went from considering getting a wheel chair back to being able to go hiking, ride my bike and work at a regular job again.   I set up a web page about EDS and other connective tissue disorders at www.ctds.info. Initially I thought it would apeal to other people who had been diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder, but actually most of my email is from people who like me, went from doctor to doctor without ever getting any kind of diagnosis.  It has been really nice getting email from people who became interested in holistic medicine because of my site and also found help with their health through alternative health treatments like yoga and nutrition therapy.

I love reading books.  I try to read a book a day if I can, though I don't always have time.  Every week I buy a batch of books from  an on line book closeout store.  I'm current with everything in the litaerary world as a a few years ago.  It's cool because they have a wishlist you can type in for books, so I have a list of several hundred books and when they get one in stock they send me an email.
